Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the COVID-19 Response: Applying the IASC Guidelines #DisabilityandInclusion #covid19response #upcomingwebinar
sharing some info on an upcoming webinar on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the COVID-19 response and the IASC guidelines which will be of interest for many in this group:
it will take place on Thursday 17th Sept. at 3 pm (Central European Summer Time) and is organized jointly with ICVA, PHAP and the Reference Group on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action.
Acknowledging that persons with disabilities and children with disabilities may be disproportionately impacted by COVID-19, the webinar will share practical examples of how response to COVID-19 in humanitarian contexts has been made more inclusive of persons with disabilities and provide a space to discuss the challenges in the current response and ways to overcome them.
More info on the event page on the PHAP website and registration here.
You'll find the IASC guidelines on the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action attached to this post as reference material and you can also access the IASC Key Messages on Applying IASC Guidelines on Disability in the COVID-19 Response here on the IASC website.
Have a nice day!
